Issue Position

I have been an educator all my life, but I am smart enough to know that I am always learning and I can't possibly know all the answers. Bureaucrats in Washington D.C. think they know all the answers but we know that that's far from the case. Common Core has been a complete disaster for students. Our education system should not be one-size-fits-all but localized as much as possible. Some positive options include school choice programs, merit-based teacher pay, and charter schools.
